Calgary Board of Education Homeschooling

Unique Qualities:

  • Offers "Part-Time" school in the form of Shared Responsibility
  • The School-provided part of the Shared Responsibility can be classroom-based from grades 1-9 in the form of 2 days per week for core subjects, art and physical education programming (gym available)
  • Classrooms have very small class sizes of 15 students in grades 1-5 and 12 students in grades 6-9
  • Offers a lending library, gym program, classes, activities and field trips for Home Education and Shared Responsibility
  • Offers a big playground
  • Offers a peer-support dedicated parent room onsite for parents waiting for their child to complete the day's classes
  • Offers activities that support parent-led instruction in the core subject areas
